PRIMARY 6-A-SIDE
6-a-side games are played on Sat mornings at 10am and Tuesday afternoons at 4pm on the Wett Dressed Turf.
Cost $20 for season.
Hockey gear required - stick, mouthguard and shin guards.
Local Coaching Clinics
· These are held each year for our top representative players through to players just starting out. This are held for both secondary and primary level players.
· Guest coaches from Canterbury and also local coaches are used to up skill these players.

Regional Coaching Clinics
· This is an Under 17 coaching Clinic that our top players in this age group are invited to attend in Christchurch each year.
· Our players attend the clinic held in Christchurch, over two days and receive specialised coaching from talented coaches.
· This is also a clinic that is used by Hockey NZ to talent ID players for national teams.
Just starting out in Coaching
· Hockey SC is offering a peer support program for new and existing coaches. Youth and Club Coaching Courses are now available from Hockey NZ. These will replace the current Level One course.
Watch out for dates in 2010 for this new course.
New Online Coaching Courses - go to www.hockeynz.co.nz head to the Coaching and Development section and go through the courses. These are a great starting point for beginner coaches.
