Coaches Club Course (NCAS Accredited) on 19 & 20 May

This is a comprehensive course, with content (theory and practical components) including:
- Teaching individual offensive and defensive skills
- Teaching team offensive and defensive skills and strategies
- Advanced game preparation and game coaching
- Principles of training and physical conditioning for basketball
- Diagramming, writing training plans and season planning
- Coaching within school, community and representative basketball programs
- Duty of care and safe coaching

Course details (at Brickpit Stadium - on the Mezzanine level and on court 1):
Friday 19th May (7.00pm to 9.00pm) AND Saturday 20th May (8.30am to 3.30pm)

Upon completing this course participants will have increased knowledge and practical experience in teaching individual and team offensive and defensive skills and concepts; diagramming, writing training plans and session and season planning; game coaching strategies; sports safety; physical conditioning; sports safety; duty of care responsibilities; coaching within school basketball, community and representative basketball programs.

Under the new Basketball Australia coaching accreditation structure the Club Coach course is now an entry level basketball coaching course similar in accreditation level to the previous Level One course.
It is a prerequisite for participants to also complete
the Australian Sports Commission online Beginning Coaching General Principles Course in order for them to receive NCAS accreditation.  To view course information and to enrol in the course: click here
Course participants will need to produce their certificate of completion for this online course prior to receiving a Club Coach accreditation.
