RULES TAKEN FROM MINUTES
1. Tribunal Player Transfer hearing. - A $200 application fee is to be lodged by a Club requesting a clearance hearing. If the clearance is granted the $200 shall be returned and the refusing Club to pay the $200 hearing fee.
2. Central Umpires for finals. - The two umpire system will be used in the Senior Colts and Reserves in the major round.
3. Association Matches. - Players who are selected in the Association Training Squads who do not attend training without giving a reason or whose excuse is not acceptable by the Coach and Executive, shall be suspended for the following Club match.
4. Water boys. - Persons on the field carrying water to the players must be of Senior Colt age or older - clubs not complying to be fined $50 per person per day.
5. J/Colt Goal Kickers list. - No goal kickers or top goal kicking list is to be published for the Junior Colts. The list will be kept on the prescribed system of the League and the Top Goal Kicking Trophy will be presented at the end of the season.
6. Injury to an Umpire. - The offending Club to which a player belongs is responsible for the costs incurred if a player is found guilty of deliberately assaulting and injuring an umpire.
7. Player Warnings. - Panel appointed boundary umpires are to have the power to issue warnings for category B type offences. These will not result in a sendoff but count along with other warnings the player may have.
8. The Executive have the power to change the venue of any programmed match if in their opinion the facility posses undue risk to participants or public safety.
9. A Club appointed Senior Coach (or member of the Senior Coaching Panel) is not permitted to a runner for any match – Penalty may be a fine to a maximum of $1,000 and/or loss of Premiership points with points for annulled as determined by the League Commissioners.
10. A Team is permitted to have two runners provided they are both nominated on the Teamsheet and that only one runner is permitted on the field during play at any one time. Penalty following report:- a warning; or fine of $200; or Team suspension from using two runners as determined by the League Commissioners.
11. Clubs with players found guilty by the Tribunal shall be levied $200 per player.
12. A person is not permitted to hold an Executive position with the GSFL and an Executive or Senior Coaching position with an Affiliated Club simultaneously – Club Executive description defined by a position whereby the person has a voting right of the club management committee.
13. The GSFL adopts the “AFL Policy” in relation to “Female Participation” – where no dedicated female competition exists, female participation excludes females when they turn 14 years by January one (1) in the year of play.
