2019 Grand Final
An indifferent football day met the crowd of footy followers that headed to McLaren oval to witness 4 different Clubs win the Grand Finals on the day.
Hawks go Back to back
The Match of the day – A Grade – Langhorne Creek against Willunga. Two of the Leagues heavy weights. The Creek backing up from the 2017 Premiership and Willunga off of a match winning 11 goal 3rd quarter in the Preliminary final a week ago.
From the get go the Hawks looked like they meant business and were playing better cleaner football and were not headed during the game. The Demons got within a point at half time and it looked game on. An outstanding 4 goal blitz in the “premiership” term by, ultimate West End Medal winner, James Sellar put paid to Willunga’s plans and saw an unsurmountable lead at the last break of nearly 6 goals. Not so straight shooting by the Demons in the last quarter saw them kick themselves out of the game. The Hawks 2019 Premiers by 5 and a bit goals.
Langhorne Creek 2.6-18 4.9-33 12.13-85 14.13-97
