JLT Oval Risk Assessment
The Host Club to perform the Oval check prior to the first game of the day and the JLT Oval sign off (this is an app that can be loaded on any mobile device) should be signed by a representative of the two clubs competing first up.
Change Rooms
Change Rooms are to be clearly marked by the hosting Club as to the Teams competing.
There needs to be appropriate areas for the girls to change, e.g. a modesty area.
This applies to the shower areas as well.
Make sure that change rooms are safe places at all the times for girls and women taking part
Team Sheets
Sports-TG Teams Sheets must be printed and supplied to the Umpires and opposing teams prior to the commencement of the game – for all grades.
Match Times
Please ensure all matches start at the published time, this helps the day run smoothly and to time. Limit the time between breaks and leave the arena as soon as possible after the match finishes to help ensure the next game starts on time.
Games must start on time and quarter breaks need to be short as the game day can and will get out of control if this is not strictly adhered to.
Morning
Under 17 Girls start at 9:00
Open Women start at 10:10
Under 14 Games start at 11:30
Afternoon
Under 17 Girls start at 12:30
Open Women Start at 1:40
Time Keeper
Clubs must supply a Time Keeper. There needs to be at least one, preferably two - one from each club, for Under 14’s and Under 17’s Matches and two - one from each participating Club for all Open Age Matches
Goal Umpires
Each Club is to supply a Goal Umpire for each game.
Goal Umpires must wear a White Polo or Jacket so as they are clearly identifiable to the Field Umpire
Boundary Umpires
Both competing Clubs will supply at least one boundary umpire for each game and they should wear appropriate tops to be identified by the Field Umpire
Runners
Runners must wear a Pink“fluorescent” Runners top with the word “Runner” and the Club Name or initials on the back
Trainers/Water Runners
Trainers, Water Persons must wear appropriate tops to be clearly identifiable to the Field Umpire.
Trainers and Water runners need to attend to the player as quickly as possible and then leave the playing arena by the shortest route to the Boundary Line.
Match Footballs
Each “Home Club” or the team listed first on the program is to supply the match football for each game – not the Hosting Club
Arm Bands
Arm bands for girls playing up a level – Arm Bands need to be visible to the umpires!
Under 16 girls are reluctant to wear the arm, if they don’t have one on then they will be treated as an Open player
Girls as young as 7 can take part in under 14 games with parent consent however arm bands are to be worn by girls 9 years and under at all times in under 14girls games
League Best & Fairest
Best & Fairest Voting slips for Under 17’s & Open Age will be completed by the Field Umpires, this will be done online and there is no need for voting slips to be supplied.
Sports TG
All Teams need to be entered onto Sporting Pulse and results must be entered at the end of each game and certainly by the completion of Game Day for all teams, this is usually the responsibility of the team listed first or “home team” – not the Host Club.
The Host Club is to have a computer with a printer attached available at the ground for all Clubs and teams to use.
These results are automatically emailed to various Media outlets later Sunday night, so the results need to be in the system as soon as possible.
Coaches
All coaches will be required to registered in SportsTG and obtain at least a Foundation Level Certificate before the start of the season.
The entry level accreditation is now called Foundation (replacing Level One), and is an online course for the specific age group the individual is coaching – senior, youth or junior.

LENGTH OF QUARTERS
Open women – 4 x 15 minutes - NTO
Under 17 – 4 x 12 minutes - NTO
Under 14 – 4 x 10 minutes - NTO
Time On to be used in the last two quarters of finals game
Player number Rules pertaining to Open Women and Under 17 Teams.
Under 14 Girls team Managers can negotiate to make sure that girls get a game of football!
- Each Open Women side shall have a minimum of 12 Players with at least two players as reserves and each Under 17 Side shall have a minimum of 9 players with two reserves to constitute a game for points - Less than this and the match may be forfeited and a scratch match played.
- The maximum number of players selected and placed onto the team sheet (in SportsTG) for both Open Women and Under 17 Girls shall be 22 and this shall consist of maximum of 18 on the field and 4 on the bench.
- If a side has less than 22 players - say 16 for example - then the two teams shall agree to play 14 on the field and 2 on the bench and the other side will have 14 on the field and 8 on the bench.
Please note this is different to Rule 20 which is for Mens Football only.
Umpiring Fees
Umpires Fees are to be paid by the Club listed first on the program ie the“Home Club” for each match, not the Club Hosting the match.
These will be invoiced monthly and need to be paid no later than the next the following game. - See Umpires Fees Female Games Great Southern Sheet.
