GREAT SOUTHERN FOOTBALL LEAGUE
Modified Rules for Mini Colts.
Players must be under 12 as at the 1st July in any year.
The umpires are to use the following rules when umpiring mini colt matches:
· A player on receiving the ball may only bounce it twice before disposing of it.
· When the ball goes out of bounds a free is given against the last player to touch it.
· No swinging a player or players off the ball.
· No deliberate kicking of the ball off the ground.
· Fair attempt to mark the ball is to be paid.
· Direct catch off the boot to be paid as a mark irrespective of distance.
· 15 Metre penalty to apply.
· Suggest that bigger ovals be shortened.
· A coach may stay on the field to coach the team.
· No coaches on the ground for the Mini Colt Carnival.
· Only 18 players on the ground at any one time throughout the season.
· Rubber footballs size 4 or for under 12s to be used in all matches.
