The Sale & District Junior Football Association is made up of 10 clubs as follows:

Currently about 600 children participate in football every Sunday in a very family friendly and safe environment.
The aims of the Association are to ensure that thekids enjoy playing the sport and that the focus is on creating a fun and learning environment.
Key features of the Association include:
- Fourteen round home-and-away season + three-week finals series
- Four age groups (Under-10, under-12, under-14 and under-16)
- 44 teams across all divisions
- More than 600 registered participants
- About 250 volunteers
In early 2018, SDJFA joined the AFL Gippsland regional administration centre, with member clubs also voting unanimously to outsource governance of the competition to AFL Gippsland.
