9. Life Members
The League may elect honorary life members the qualification for each of whom shall be that:
a) he or she has rendered special services to the League or to football/netball;
b) he or she has participated as a player in not less that three hundred (300) senior or A Grade matches, or four hundred (400) club games football and netball.
For the purpose ‘matches’ shall include matches for the premiership of the League and matches where the player has represented the League as a player an inter-league match played on the same day as a match for the premiership of the League;
c) he or she has served a Board member for a continuous period of at least ten (10) years;
d) he or she has served as a Board member for a period of at least fifteen (15) years;
e) he or she has served as a Board member and/or an official of a Club for a continuous period of at least fifteen (15) years;
f) he or she has served as a Board member and/or an official of a Club for a period of at least twenty (20) years (including a period of at least five (5) years as a Board member); or
g) he or she has served as an official of a Club for a period of at least twenty (20) years (including) at least one (1) year as a President, Secretary, or Treasurer of a Club).
h) with the exception of (b) the maximum number of honorary life members that shall be elected in each year, shall be (2) two.
i) the Board and Clubs have the right to nominate prospective honorary life members but it must be on the appropriate form and be presented to the League by July 1st in each year. The nominee’s history of club and league involvement must be presented on the nomination form.
j) Life membership for netballers in regards to games eligibility will be from the season when the football and netball merged (2006)
