The Defensive Driver Training Day held on Tuesday 9th June was facilaited in very cold conditions at Sandown racecourse with thanks to Volvo and Hankook. The Melbourne Football Club invited players from the Mornington Peninsula Nepean Football and Netball League (MPNFL) to participate in this exciting day. Aaron Rizzatti from Mornington FC, Mitch Donaldson from Narre Warren FC and Cassie Bridgitt from Pakenham NC all participated along with players from the Melbourne Football Club.
The chief objective of the day was to provide invaluable defensive driver training for our young players, nearly all of whom are either still on their P Plates or yet to obtain their drivers licence, whilst promoting and recognising the safety attributes of two of our valued commercial partners, Hankook and Volvo. We believe this was a great opportunity to enhance driver education which also fittingly complimented the MPNFL’s “Looking after your Mates” road safety program.
