With the last Sharks tournament held for the year with the sun shining on a Melbourne winters day at the Whitehorse netball association home base in Vermont, our U15 team started their first game with very strongplay and great team work, to walk away with a convincing win. The second game ended in a draw then due to a revised fixture we encountered a long gap of a couple of hours before our next game.
The next two games we lost, but we regrouped as a team and the losses made us determined to win the next if we got into semi finals, which we did.
Putting it all on the line we worked hard to win our first final to go straight into the Grand Final. The grand final saw us loose the first centre pass, but then with three turnovers and pulling together as a team we went on to win with a 2-goal victory! What a fantastic end to this amazing opportunity to play quality netball and make new friends with players that are usually our opponents. On behalf of all the players many thanks to both Maddison & Kahlia for filling in today, due to injuries (Annabel & myself) & Molly who was unable to play today.
On behalf of this fantastic bunch of girls I had the privilege of playing netball with, our sincere thanks to the League, our dedicated Coach Michelle and our wonderful parents for all their support for this U15 2013
Sharks netball team. Also, thanks to my Mum, Marg for being our team manager.
We are all now looking forward to catching up at the Presentation night, the League is kindly putting on for all Players who have had the opportunity to play in a Sharks team. Written by Emma Jones, U15 Pakenham Lions
