The MPNFL encourage all clubs that have a home match on Saturday May 7th or Sunday May 8th to start, or continue, to organise extra activities for this day as a part of the national Pink Footy & Netball Day program. We also encourage umpiring groups to get into the spirit of the day in whichever way you can show your support.
The support over the last two years of this campaign have been tremendous, nearly $200,000 has been donated to the BCNA to support regional women and families – and I am sure the participating clubs will back me up when I say that it is a great way to create interest and income at your home match.
We all understand how important it is to show our support for families in our communities that are going through the trials and tribulations of coping with breast cancer. Pink Football & Netball Day is one day the football family can get together to show this support.
