After a setback in the warm-up with Julie Anderson rolling her ankle, I think the shock showed amongst the rest of the team for the first 5-6 minutes (where Ballarat FNL scored the first nine goals of the game) but once we started to concentrate, our confidence grew.
Our pressure and decision making in particular were a huge improvement from last week, and we showed a lot more patience, which had been lacking, in attack.
Our third quarter was the best we have played in the two games so far - we really took it up to Ballarat and they started to get rattled. Now we need to work on getting consistency over four quarters.
Once again, the scoreboard didn't reflect the effort and work-rate of the girls on the night.
One area we need to work on is our goaling so that we ensure we take every opportunity that is presented. If the girls are prepared to work hard the results will start to show as I feel we have 20-30% improvement left in us.
