The Maryborough & Castlemaine District Football League is pleased to announce Geoff Dixon as coach of the 2010 MCDFL Interleague Team. Geoff has had a wealth of football coaching experience and will be an ideal person to fulfil this important position.
Geoff coached the Carisbrook Football Club in 2004, 2005 & 2006 where he won back to back premierships in 2004 & 2005 which was an outstanding effort. He also had stint coaching at the North Bendigo Football Club. Geoff has also done some part time work for AFL Clubs the West Coast Eagles and Western Bulldogs in an off field recruiting position.
Geoff said “I’m very much looking forward to the challenge. I am hoping to get as many clubs involved as possible. The more off field support there is for the team the better. We need all clubs behind the Interleague concept. “
“Last year was obviously a disappointing Interleague result so I’m looking at certainly changing that around for this year”.
Geoff believes that the home ground advantage of playing at Princes Park will be vital. Geoff will be assisted by Craig Mortlock and was hoping to gain the services of a few other people over the coming weeks as well.
Geoff’s appointment is a great one for the League and I’m sure he will be an outstanding candidate for the position.
