Coaches / Parents / Spectators / Children
1. Always encourage children to participate whatever their ability.
2. Encourage participants to always play by the rules.
3. Never ridicule mistakes or losses. Remember that participants learn best by example.
4. Applaud good play by ALL teams.
5. Never publicly disagree with officials.
6. If you disagree with an official raise the issue privately through the appropriate channels.
7. Actively discourage any and all racial abuse.
8. Recognise the value and importance of all volunteer coaches.
9. Remember that participants play for fun and not for the entertainment of the spectators. Nor are they mini professionals.
10. Condemn the use of violence in any form, be it by spectators, coaches, officials or participants.
11. Encourage participants to follow all and any decision made by officials.
12. Demonstrate exemplary social behaviour at all times by not using foul language, spitting or harassing participants, coaches or officials.
13. Ensure all participants have an adult parent or guardian present during all activities in case of injury or inclement weather conditions.
14. Lara Little League is not a babysitting service and wherever possible your assistance is requested.
15. All participants wherever possible should wear appropriate footwear (footy boots) and clothing to help eliminate risk of injury during activities.
16. Show respect at all times for the property being used for your clinic by not damaging, vandalising or littering to ensure it is available for your continued future use.
17. Poor or un-sports like behaviour by participants will not be tolerated and may result in the individual/s being removed from the group in which they are participating. Examples of this may include spitting, swearing, violence or racial abuse.
18. Encourage team spirit at all times with all participants (remember footy is a team game).
19. Ensure a safe and stress free environment for all participants by reporting any dangerous or unsafe equipment, activities or facilities to one of your team manager immediately.
20. MOST IMPORTANTLY HAVE FUN!!!!
