After missing out the finals last year, expect Dale Osborne to introduce some of the players that took them to the second eighteen premiership. Tatura suffered a blow when it lost re-appointed coach Jamason Daniels to the Gold Coast Suns.
They moved quickly to install favourite son Linc Welligton as his replacement.
The Bulldogs have recruited very well and expected they will win more than the one game they claimed in the final round last year.
Doubt remains over the future of boom recruit Daniel Lewis who may not returned to Victoria after spending the summer playing in the Northern Territory.
That would be a massive loss, given the Bulldogs would have been pinning their hopes on him holding down one of the two key forward posts.
The outs for Cats are huge and it will certainly test Dale Osborne and he will be leaning on some of his more experienced players like Kane Boyer and Trent Freer to lead by example.
This is a tough one to pick a winner, but the Bulldogs to win by less than three kicks.
My tips: United and Tatura.
