The Shepparton Swans put in arguably their best performance of the season last weekend.
Coach Paul Griffiths would have been pleased with the improvement shown by his young team but still dissatisfied that they didn’t get the four points.
The return of premiership player Andrew Riordan would have been welcomed by the team and he was a shining light against the Tigers as was Christopher Cullinan and Dylan Kerr.
Youngsters, Billy Cooper (three goals) Jared Service and James Bennett (four goals) all played their best game of the year for the club.
The task doesn’t get any easier today against the Eagles at Mansfield.
Brett Mahoney, Earl Ree-Goodings, Thomas German, Mitchell Wareham, Ari Croxford-Demasi and Thomas Gardiner almost got them across the line on the road last weekend.
They will be important in ensuring the Eagles get the all-important four points.
Tip: Mansfield.

Shepparton Swans will be chasing a second straight victory and if results fall their way they could be sitting inside the top six by 5 pm tonight.
The Eagles may be winless, but Swans coach Jana Bruinier will be warning her players against complacency to ensure they get the four points.
Captain Nat Simpson, Tiarna Steel and Olivia Mason were the key players in the win over Rochester and they will be again important cogs on the road to face the Eagles.
Tip: Swans.
