Shepparton to beat Benalla because they have a better midfield and are desperate for a win. The match of the round at Deakin Reserve should be a real beauty but the Demons will get up because of their superior back line - they way NORMINGTON, BUTLER and RENDINA attack from the half back line and the X factor back in the goal-square for the D's. Mansfield to win at home against Ky as the Eagles are starting to get back to their Premiership side and Premiership form. This too will be a terrific game with both the Bombers and the Eagles coming off bit wins last week. Many would love to see Euroa win at home but the Swans will be too strong. Rochy will be too big and strong at home against Seymour and likewise at Tatura the homeside the Bulldogs will be too big and strong for Echuca.
Interesting to note up here that former Seymour Premiership player Robbie DOUGLAS is coaching South Cairns in the A.F.L. Cairns competition and as yet after the first 13 games the Cane cutters are yet to record their first win. Port Douglas are undefeated who have former Shepparton Swans player Kane UEBERGANG running around in the Crocs jumper. This Saturday at the magnificent Cazaly oval, the Gold Coast are playing the Bendigo Bombers in the V.F.L. Round of games - the game is listed for midday as our reserve teams will be battling it out at Benalla, Deakin Reserve, Mansfield, Euroa, Rochester and Tatura in low temperatures.
And, in finishing, is'nt the Senior competition very exciting with Mooroopna one game clear up top, four points clear of Ky., United and Echuca - then Rochy two games back on 36 points and now the Swans have got into 6th possie they will be doing everything they can to remain there and try and get a game clear of Mansfield, Seymour and Tatura who too are all on 12 wins/6 losses (24 points). Each game in this round is by itself very exciting but collectively as a League you could not wish for a more exciting round and and lead up to the finals.
