A depleted Geelong West side has gone down to Werribee Centrals by 208 points, the biggest losing margin in season 2012.
Thirteen players contributed to Werribee’s 33 goals for the afternoon, with David Leatch leading the way with seven goals.
The Cheetahs’ only goal came in the second term, courtesy of Daniel Harrison.
The game was played on the Centurions’ terms from start to finish in what coach Luke Phipps described as their first four-quarter effort for the season.
Alex Denham is an injury concern for Geelong West, unable to kick on his right side with a torn hip flexor.
Blake Pilkington was given the honour of being named best on ground for the Centrals, but the massive win was courtesy every player on the ground contributing for Werribee and having an impact.
Werribee Centrals now sit in fourth position on the ladder, and can sure up a finals appearance if they beat Anakie next weekend.
