1979 CGJFL make another age group change, back to Under 10's & 12's. Trafalgar, Premiers Under 10's defeated St Kieran's, Trafalgar, Premiers Under 12's defeated Newborough Hawks.

1981 Cyril Chaproniero is elected Secretary/Treasurer. Hernes Oak JFC disbanded. Moe City emerges as Premier favorites in both age groups but are defeated. St Kieran's, Premiers Under 10's defeated Moe City, St Kieran's, Premiers Under 12's defeated Moe City.
1982 CGJFL change age group again, back to Under 11's & 13's. Moe City Under 13's unlucky in preliminary final. Cyril Chaproniero continues as Secretary/Treasurer. Newborough Hawks, Premiers Under 13's defeated Trafalgar. Newborough Hawks, Premiers Under 11's defeated Trafalgar.
1983 Cyril Chaproniero is elected President, Cliff Stevens new Secretary/Treasurer. Yallourn North resign and move to Morwell Junior Football League. Newborough Hawks go 'back-to-back' in the U13's defeating Moe City by 28 points. Trafalgar defeated Moe City in the U11's. League becomes Incorporated and is Constitutionally proper with By-Laws built in.
1984 Ron Keilty is elected in as President and Ron Michie takes over as Secretary/Treasurer. Moe Colts, Premiers Under 11's defeated Trafalgar. Moe City, Premiers Under 13's defeated Newborough Hawks.
1985 Wayne Tunks is elected President, Peter Marks as Secretary/Treasurer. St Kieran's resign from CGJFL and form a modified rules competition. Trafalgar, Premiers Under 11's defeated Moe Colts. Moe Colts, Premiers Under 13's defeated Newborough Hawks.
1986 Yallourn North re-admitted after being absent for three seasons. East versus West competition re-introduced, East defeat West in Under 11's and West defeat East in Under 13's. Moe Colts, Premiers Under 11's defeated Newborough Bulldogs. Moe Colts, Premiers & Champions under 13's defeated Trafalgar. Margaret Meadows Memorial Shield for Under 12/13's disappears. (Note..) CGJFL would dearly love to have the shield returned for display in Head Quarters.
1987 Wayne Tunks/Steve Mayes elected President and Paul Erbs is elected Secretary/Treasurer. Thompson Valley Rovers Under 13's admitted. St Kieran's re-enter league as Moe Saints after several years. Moe City Under 11's in turn around from season 86', finish as minor premiers, then go on to win Premiership defeated Moe Colts, Trafalgar, Premiers Under 13's defeated Colts.
1988 Peter Enzinger is elected President, Paul Erbs continues as Secretary/Treasurer. Moe Saints, Premiers Under 11's defeated Trafalgar. Moe Colts, Premiers Under 13's defeated Newborough Hawks.

1998 Joe Piper is elected President. League constitution is revised and by-laws separated from the constitution give the league a new beginning. Jefferson Welsh, elected Vice President. CGJFL defeat Morwell Junior Football League in the inaugural Inter-League Challenge in both grades. Trafalgar, Premiers Under 11's defeated Newborough Bulldogs. Moe City, Premiers Under 13's defeated Moe Saints.
1999 Ian McCabe is elected Secretary/Treasurer. CGJFL defeat MJFL in both grades in the Inter-League Challenge. Newborough Bulldogs take double premiership Under 12 & 13's. Wayne Tunks is elected Ordinary Member on the Executive. Paul Erbs awarded Life Membership. Newborough Bulldogs Under 11's defeated Trafalgar & Newborough Bulldogs Under 13's defeated Mirboo North.
2000 Ian McCabe is elected President and continued as Treasurer. For the first time in the Leagues history the position of Secretary had to be advertised offering an honorarium from outside of the League. Marianne Hardy was given the position. Another age change, from Under 11's and 13's to Under 12's and 14's and a pilot Under 10's competition was trailed with much success. End of Season round robin for the Under 10's resulted in Yarragon winning with Yallourn North runner up. Bulldogs Under 12's win back to back Premierships defeating Moe Saints, Trafalgar, Premiers Under 14's defeated Moe Saints. CGJFL win Under 12's and Under 14's Inter-League Challenge. Fairest and Best re-introduced into the League along with a presentation night..
2001 Gordon Cantwell is elected Secretary and Sue Bennett as Treasurer. Wayne Tunks stepped up to Vice President and William "Duds" Platschinda was elected Ordinary Member. CGJFL launches Internet Site. CGJFL defeat MJFL in Under 12's and 14's. MJFL defeated CGJFL in the inaugural Under 10's challenge. Trafalgar, Premiers & Champions Under 12's defeating Newborough Bulldogs. Trafalgar Premiers in Under 14's defeating Moe Saints, Yallourn North win inaugural Under 10's Premiership defeating Yarragon. Police Checks on Coaches, Trainers & Administrators implemented. Leongatha admitted and Churchill re-admitted to CGJFL.
2002 Wayne Tunks elected as President, Duds Platschinda elected Vice President, Rod Pollock fills Ordinary Members position and Gordon Cantwell retains Secretary's position, Denise Tunks fills vacant Treasurers position. Churchill bring Under 14's from Traralgon junior league to CGJFL. CGJFL appoint investigation officers. Club/team good conduct competition introduced. CGJFL victors with all grades in annual inter-league challenge with MJFL. Inaugural club/teams good conduct competition winners, Moe Saints JFC Under 10's team, Yallourn North JFC Under 12's & Under 14's teams, overall club award Yarragon JFC. Premiers Under 10's Yinnar defeated Newborough Hawks, Leongatha in there second season with the CGJFL premiers in Under 12's defeating Moe Saints & Premiers in Under 14's Newborough Bulldogs defeating Leongatha.
2003 Ivan Whittle elected President, Rod Pollock takes over the Vice Presidency, Gordon Cantwell continues as League Secretary, Craig Hardy is elected Ordinary Member & Sue Bennett takes on the Treasurers position. Wayne Tunks awarded with Life Membership of CGJFL. Morwell Tigers, Morwell Youth Club, Morwell Saints, Boolarra & Yinnar are admitted to the CGJFL expanding league to seventeen clubs fielding 44 teams, Moe Colts in recess for 2003. 'No Kicking Off The Ground' rule introduced for Under 10 competition. Inaugural N.E.W.S Intra-League for Under 12's & Under 14's. Winners being South Under 12's & West Under 14's. Traditional Under 10's East v West won by West. Premiers Newborough Bulldogs Under 10's defeated Yinnar. Under 12's Leongatha Premiers & Champions defeated Morwell Youth Club. Under 14's Moe Saints defeated Leongatha.
2004 Former Yallourn North Champion Peter Clark became President, Gary Vonk, Vice President, Gordon Cantwell Secretary/Treasurer, Sue Bennett and Gaye Jenkins Ordinary Members. Yarragon Junior Football Club left the CGJFL for the Warragul District JFL. Boolarra Junior Football ceased being due to no players. International Power was the sponsor for the East-West. Newborough Bulldogs won the Under 10's Grand Final by 26pts against Trafalgar, Leongatha became Premiers and Champions in the Under 12's against the gallant Newborough Bulldogs by 68pts and Leongatha also took out the Under 14's beating Hill End who were in their first ever Grand Final in CGJFL or MGJFL.
2005 The Executive was the same as 2004 except for Christine Clark, who took over the Treasurer’s position. It was the first time both Hill End and Mirboo North had Under 10's in the competition. Trafalgar won the Under 10's when they defeated the new Hill End team by just 1pt. Leongatha again took out the Under 12's and also the Under 14's.
2006 Gary Tatterson became the President, Gary Vonk Vice President, Gordon Cantwell Secretary, Lis Keilty Treasurer and Gaye Jenkins an Ordinary Member. We had 13 clubs but Yallourn North could not field an Under 14's. The League had a new Major Sponsor in TRU-Energy Yallourn. The CGJFL Under 14's won the Junior carnival in its first year and the Premiers were Newborough Bulldogs in the Under 10's against Hill End by 25pts and Leongatha defeated Mirboo North in the Under 12’s and Leongatha also won in the Under 14’s defeating the Newborough Bulldogs.
2007 Gary Tatterson was again the President, Gordon Cantwell the Secretary, Lis Keilty the Treasurer and Executive Members in Gaye Jenkins and Tony Murphy. Charles Weir came on board as Non-Executive Publicity Officer. Newborough Bulldogs made it back-to-back in the Under 10's beating Mirboo North by 12 points, while Mirboo North beat Leongatha in the Under 12's by 6 points, which prevented Leongatha from winning 6 in a row. The Under 14's again went to Leongatha by 30 points against the valiant Youth Club. It was Leongatha's fourth Premiership in a row in the Under 14's.
2008 Darren Brock was elected as President, Gordon Cantwell the Secretary, Lis Keilty the Treasurer, Vickki Cowen as Vice President and Executive Members in Nick Kelly. Charles Weir was still the Non-Executive Publicity Officer. Morwell Youth Club were Premiers and Champions in the Under 10’s and it was the Club’s first ever CGJFL Premiership. Morwell Youth Club defeated Newborough Bulldogs by 39 points. Newborough Bulldogs won the Under 12’s by 27 points against Yinnar. The Under 14's again went to Leongatha by 30 points, this time against Newborough Bulldogs. It was Leongatha's fifth Premiership in a row in the Under 14's.
2009 Darren Brock was again the President, Charles Weir began as Secretary, replacing Gordon Cantwell, Lis Keilty the Treasurer, Vickki Cowen as Vice President and Executive Members in Nick Kelly. Newborough Bulldogs were victorious in the Under 10's against Trafalgar by one point and also in the Under 12's against Mirboo North by 27 points, and yes Leongatha again won the Under 14's, this time by 30 points against Newborough Bulldogs. Central Gippsland implemented a new format in terms of being more competitive at the Gippsland Championships. Charles Weir coached the Under 12's to its first win in many years and Craig Skinner took the Under 14's to a Grand Final, where they were outclassed by a tremendous Sale side. A number of boys from this team wen on to play with Gippsland Power, eg Declan Keilty, Liam Nash.
2010 - Keith Pickering from Mirboo North was elected as President and his Vice President (also from Mirboo North) was Dean Linforth. Charles Weir was again Secretary, Natalie Lambos, Treasurer, and Craig Skinner an Executive Member. Trafalgar took out the Under 10's premiership against Newborough Blues, The Under 12's went to Leongatha again against the Newborough Blues and the Under 14's was won by Newborough Blues against Leongatha. 2010 was the year that Newborough Bulldogs and Newborough Hawks merged to form 'one' Newborough Club with two sides in each age group, known as Reds and Blues. Central Gippsland Under 12's won the Gippsland Championships under the coaching of Paul Mann from Hill End & Grove Rovers and the Under 14's were Runner's Up under the guidance of Craig Skinner from Newborough. Craig Skinner from Newborough was named Victorian Youth Coach of the Year.
2011 - Mr Keith Pickering from the Mirboo North JFC ia again the President, with Mrs Katryn Richardson from Morwell Tigers agreeing to take on the role of Vice President. The Treasurer is Mrs Natalie Lambos from Newborough JFC. The Secretary is once again Charles Weir, also from the Newborough JFC. Newborough Reds defeated Leongatha in the Under 10's; Leongatha turned the tables on Newborough Reds in the Under 12's and Mirboo North won with the last kickof the match against Newborough Blues. Central Gippsland Under 12's won the Gippsland Championships under the coaching of Paul Mann from Hill End & Grove Rovers and the Under 14's were Runner's Up under the guidance of Craig Skinner from Newborough. Paul Mann from Hill End and Grove Rovers was named Victorian Junior Coach of the Year.
2012 - Mr Lachlan Sim from the Moe Lions JFC is the President, with Mr Darren Anderson from Yallourn North the Vice President. The Treasurer is once again Mrs Natalie Lambos from Newborough JFC. The Secretary is Charles Weir, also from the Newborough JFC. Leongatha won the U10’s by 5 points against Trafalgar; Trafalgar won the Under 12's by 6 points against Leongatha (after the scores were level at full-time) and U14’s was won by Leongatha against a gallent Moe Maroons team. and Trafalgar were victorious in the Under 12’s. 2012 was the year that Moe Lions and Moe Saints merged to form 'one' Moe Lions JFC with two sides in each age group, known as Maroons and Blues. Central Gippsland Under 14's won the Gippsland Championships under the coaching of Warwick Baum from Hill End & Grove Rovers. Charles Weir was awarded Life Memebrship of the Central Gippsland Junior Football League.
2013 - Mr Darren Anderson from the Yallourn North JFC is the President, with Mrs Karen Baum from Hill End and Grove Rovers the Vice President. The Treasurer Leah Maslen from Moe Lions. The Secretary is Charles Weir, from the Newborough JFC. Leongatha won the U10’s by 8 points against Yinnar; Leongatha won the Under 12's by 3 points against Newborough Reds and the U14’s was won by Newborough Reds against Leongatha by 30 points. Central Gippsland Under 12's won the Gippsland Championships under the coaching of Brad Michie from Newborough and the Under 14's were Runner's Up with Warwick Baum of Hill End and Grove Rovers still the coach. The year saw previous CGJFL players Sam Skinner and Darnell Grech picked to play for U16's Victoria Country, with Sam Skinner being named the Best Player of the Carnival and being selected in an All-Australian team. Other notable players who the boys played against in the Gippsland Championships at Under 14 level, were Nash Holmes and Josh Dunkley from Sale. Tyler Morrow, Ben Ainsworth, Anthony Young and Brock Smith played in a Victorian School Competition in Darwin.
2014 Craig Skinner from Newborough JFC was President. Charles Weir from Newborough JFC was Secretary and Leah Maslen Treasurer from Moe Lions. Trafalgar Under 10s won the grand final defeating Leongatha, by three points. Trafalgar also won the Under 12’s grand final defeating Youth Club by 12 points with the final scores 29 points to 17 points. The Leongatha under 14’s had a big win against Trafalgar 74 points to 28 points.
Youth club organised the interleague carnival for the league. The Central Gippsland Under 14 interleague team coached by David Nutt were premiers in the Junior Carnival against the Alberton FL 2-12-24 to 1-2-8. The Under 12 interleague team coached by Wayne Paulet did not make finals.
Mirboo North was awarded Most Disciplined Club for the league.
