Q Do I need to be registered with the league to play in the CGJFL?

Answer: Yes

Q From whom do I obtain a league registration form?

Answer: Any club that you wish to play with.

Q If I want to change clubs within the league, do I need a clearance?

Answer: Yes, even though the VCFL handbook rule 1.1 Player who has Previously Played: States; Players of affiliated competitions up to and including under 15 years of age as at 1st January in the year of play, are not subject to VCFL clearance and permit regulations. Under the new VCFL regulations and IT Program Membership Data Base requirements all players must be registered, and therefor subject to clearances & permits. Clearance cannot be withheld by any junior club.

Q Can my first registered club withhold my clearance?

Answer: Yes, only if you own money (club affiliation fee) or you have a club jumper. Otherwise No.

Q What determines what age group I should play in?

Answer: January 1st determines the beginning & December 31st determines the end of age groupings - eg: If your birthday is in July 2009 and you were born in 1996 you are eligible to play in under 14's, if you were born in 1998 then you are eligible to play under 12's, if you were born in 2000 onwards you are eligible to play under 10's.

Q When I reach an age that does not allow me to play in the CGJFL, do I require a clearance to play in another league?

Answer: Yes The VCFL handbook rule 1.5 Automatic Clearance â Junior Players: States; that a player which becomes ineligible by virtue of age, to continue as a registered player of that junior league/association then this clearance may be granted at any time during the season.

Q What does SDR stand for?

Answer: Special Dispensation Registration â The Executive will consider player circumstances relative to member club registrations numbers at under 14 age group. (Lack thereof). Each club has or should have a copy of SDR Procedure & Guidelines or for more information & to download SDR Document goto Resource Library (Main Menu)

Q What does SCR stand for?

Answer: Special Circumstance Registration â These circumstances may be of a medical or physical disability. All age group. Each club has or should have a copy of SCR Procedure & Guidelines or for more information & to download SDR Document goto Resource Library (Main Menu)

Q How many games must I play to be eligible to in final?

Answer: 4 Club games.

Q As a junior player of, U/10, 12 or 14's, am I permitted to wear gloves?

Answer: YES rule 15.0, page 63 of VCFL handbook.
