Australia’s Gronya and Setyana look to repeat their Sudirman Cup performance
Australia’s top women’s doubles pair, Gronya Somerville and Setyana Mapasa will be looking to repeat their performance at the 2017 Sudirman Cup in the Gold Coast, where the pair were unbeaten throughout the tournament as they faced USA, Austria, Singapore and Canada. With Australia and New Zealand in the same group - it’s all to play for in Nanning.

A first time for everything: New Zealand player’s proud to represent in Nanning!
New Zealand will compete in Group 3A at the TOTAL BWF Sudirman Cup 2019, alongside neighbouring country Australia, Nepal and Ireland. Despite a wealth of experience competing around the region, this will be the first time for many of the player’s to compete in the prestigious event and in front of badminton-crazed China, including the likes of 2018 Oceania Men’s Singles Champion, Abhinav Manota.

Lin Dan lights up the Quarter-Finals at the Barfoot & Thompson New Zealand Open
On quarter-finals day, spectators were treated to a masterclass in badminton as two-time Olympic, five-time World Champion and defending Barfoot & Thompson New Zealand Open champion Lin Dan, from China, took on the 2019 top seed and world number 7 Anthony Ginting, from Indonesia.
