Basketball suspended until further notice

We are sure the kids are all very disappointed but as part of the mitigation to slow the spread of the Covid-19, all games and training are suspended and we think it is safe to say that we will not be back until after the Easter break and possibly longer.

Basketball Queensland is meeting (Tuesday 17 March) to discuss their strategy but it is fairly obvious to all that this pandemic will escalate in the coming months and until we have a tested vaccine, a number of things will be on hold.

Celtics is an 'at cost' club so if cancellations reduce costs we would look to reimburse parents and players less costs at the end of the season (or sooner if the entire season is cancelled). Alternatively parents may be able to apply any savings to next season's registration costs.

These options will all be considered once we have more information.

Thank you for your patience during this difficult time.

Best Regards

Paul Forbes

President, Celtics Gold Coast
