Members of the Canterbury Sports Foundation come from the following groups:

- Local territory authorities
- Educational institutions

Membership Subscriptions
To become a member of the Canterbury Sports Foundation, and in doing so contribute to the ability of the Foundation to support sport in Canterbury, the following subscription rates apply. (Canterbury Sports Foundation is not registered for GST purposes):
- Individuals $ 30 per annum
- Clubs / Schools $ 50 per annum
- Regional sport organisations $ 75 per annum
- Corporates $250 per annum

Donor Members
For the sum of $2,300 corporates can obtain donor membership status, which includes permanent membership of the Foundation and the satisfaction of providing a more significant level of assistance to sport in Canterbury in the immediate future.
