2018 was full of opportunities and challenges for the both League and clubs, and we are certainly looking forward to 2019! We welcomed Dookie United to the league this past year, and in 2019 we welcome Shepparton East to our league. It is great to see our league continue to grow and I look forward to new rivalries being created as well as friendships with these two clubs!
I would like to congratulate all clubs on a fantastic season 2018, and to all the clubs that competed and hosted during the finals this year. Your efforts in preparing and hosting these matches also saw great crowd attendance once again
Welcome back to the board Wayne, Jo, Deb, Sandy, Helen and Doug – I look forward to continuing to work with you all as we look to where the KDFNL is heading to the future. I would like to make special note to outgoing member Vin Edwards for his service not only on the board for the past couple of years, but also as previously as Interleague Coach. We wish you all the best for the future!
Thank you to our league partners for their continued support of our great league: Leocata’s Transport, Nathalia Printers, Shepparton News, Highgrove Bathrooms, Intersport Bennetts, Knights Furniture, Warren Family, Hair by the Boulevard, Four Kings Clothing, Hume Indigenous Family Violence Regional Action Group and AFL Goulburn Murray. To all these partners and those who support all 14 clubs, a sincere and heartfelt thank you for your generosity as your support continues to assist each club run day to day.
Thank you to AFL Goulburn Murray for their continued work in assisting the KDL whether administratively or developmentally. A big welcome to Jamie Macri who has come on board a Regional General Manager, we wish Jamie all the best in his new role in leading Football and Netball Leagues and clubs throughout the Goulburn Murray Region.
Thanks to Sharon O’Dwyer, our operations officer. Her support to the executive and also the clubs has been outstanding. Also thank you to Grant, Bree, Melissa, Greg and rest of the AFL GM team for their assistance through the 2018 season.
The club volunteers who are the absolute backbone of all Leagues and clubs and give a power of volunteer hours a mountain of work to make sure your sides run out each and every week, thank you for your tireless efforts to make sure two great sports still continue in the KDFNL.
On a final note I would like to wish all of our the committees, players, sponsors, supporters and families in the KDFNL a Very Merry Christmas and a Safe and Prosperous New Year! Look forward to seeing you all around the grounds in 2019!
