NAGAMBIE V MURCHISON-TOOLAMBA
Nagambie survived a scare from Lancaster last weekend and coach, Linc Sullivan will be warning his players to come with the right mindset ahead of today’s challenge against the improved Murchison-Toolamba.
Before last week’s bye, the Grasshoppers were in really good form, winning 4 of their past 5 games.
Sullivan will know the Grasshoppers will come with plenty to prove as it tries to remain in finals calculations.
The Lakers were grateful for the efforts of Anthony Haysom, Kyle Winter-Irving, Mark Nolan, Ben Hutton, Matthew Martin and Michael Roberts for getting them over the line late in the last quarter last weekend.
Murchison will look to some of it really inform players Ash Cashion, Luke Armstrong, James Milne, Josh Lawrence, Brayden Cecchin and Luke Cecchin to get them another victory.

AVENEL V LANCASTER
Lancaster will look to bring the same effort and intensity from last week’s game when they make the tough trip down the highway to take on last year’s runner up.
After a shocking start to the year, Avenel has really hit is straps winning 6 games in a row.
Those victories have help elevate the Swans into the top 6.
Lancaster coach Nick Bertoli will be desperate for his team to claim a big scalp after coming so close against the reigning premier last weekend.
The Swans will look to the likes of Donald Stirling, Mitchell Thomas, Michael Berry, Oliver Gabelich, Scott Tyer and Paul Arandt to continue their good form and ensure they can kick a winning score.
Lancaster will turn to the likes of Andrew Pettigrove, Tannar Cerrone, Steven Thomson, Jack Donnell, Michael Hill and Joshua Berry to have good games to help the visitors avoid a second straight loss.

MERRIGUM V RUSHWORTH
Merrigum will be searching for a third straight victory when it plays host to Rushworth today.
The Bulldogs are sitting just outside the top 6 and will be desperate for another good win to keep the pressure on the teams above it.
The Tigers will be eager to turnaround their fortunes, having not won a match in the month of June.
In fact the Tigers last won a game at the end of April.
For them to remain in the race to play finals it must start winning again.
Some of the players who have been leading the way and will need to play well today have been Daniel Lambden, Jeremy Lambden, Michael Telford, Andrew Gelsi, Billy Wall and Jarvis Waasdorp.
On the other hand some of the players to step up for the Bulldogs in their recent victories have been Rohan Hearn, Daniel Dryden, Jake Parkinson, Jake Ross, David Matthews and Mitchell Younger.

STANHOPE V GIRGARRE
Girgarre is another team that must desperately turn around its fortunes if it wants to play finals this season.
They face a massive task against their arch rivals Stanhope.
The Kangaroos can take some confidence in the last time they played the Lions that they pushed them all the way.
Girgarre coach Shannon Tucker has been leading by example and he hopes the like of Brenton Bassett, Luke Whykes, Shaun Doolan, Jake Hyland, and Ashley Hughes can follow his lead against a very strong Stanhope outfit.
The Lions would have been pleased with the contributions from some of their second and third tier players in the comfortable win last weekend.
Some of those players to shine were Adam Auld, Dylan Moncur, Lachlan Firmer, Stuart Trevena, Jayden Exell and Alex O'Reilly.

TALLYGAROOPNA V LONGWOOD
Tallygaroopna will be chasing a big victory to help boost its percentage in the race for the all-important double chase at season’s end.
Coach Chris Earles knows how important these types of games are in his club’s quest to mount a serious challenge for this year’s premiership.
Longwood will be hoping the likes of Braydon Kearns, Daniel Robinson, Toa Tautala, Henry Peni, Lucas Foenander and Reece Davis can have solid games to ensure the visitors are competitive for long periods of today’s game.
The home team is expected to welcome back a handful of regulars from injury and they will also hope that some of their more experienced players can dominate the game.

VIOLET TOWN V UNDERA
Undera will have its work cut out when it travels to take on the premiership fancy today.
The Towners have been one of the consistent performers in 2017 while the Lions have really struggled for consistency after the opening 2 weeks of the season.
Undera will look to the likes of Nicholas McAuliffe, Elliott Bailey, Sean Betts, Bayden Bailey, Brandon White and Jake Russ to continue their good form.
Nate Trotter has been an asset since joining the team from Euroa recently.
John Woodcock, Patrick Horsburgh, Jake Cowman, Christopher Bamford and Ash Hobbs have all been some of the team’s stars this season and Undera will struggle to go with them today.
