VIOLET TOWN v AVENEL
Violet Town has been in splendid form of late off the back of the great win against Tallygaroopna three weeks ago.
The Lions are likely to figure in the finals after missing out last year, but to be considered genuine they must claim another big scalp.
Avenel has been ruthless of late, scoring some important wins against Tallygaroopna, Lancaster and more recently Stanhope.
Swans' coach Kath Hard would be thrilled with the intensity and determination of her team during the past month and it has been her leadership coupled with the consistent performances from the likes of Laura Mundy that has the team in driver's seat to secure the all important double chance.
Pip O'Donoghue knows this will be a massive test for her team, but she won't be shying away from telling her girls to give it their best shot.
Tip: Avenel.
STANHOPE v LANCASTER
Kerrie Gray and Jody Rennie would have gone back to the drawing board after their respective teams were no match for the league's top two teams last weekend.
The Lions had been in really good form before last week's heavy loss to Avenel while Lancaster will be eager to avoid a third straight loss after back-to-back losses to Nagambie and Avenel.
It is an extremely important game for both teams for a variety of different reasons - Lancaster to regain its winning ways and keep its arch rival at bay from taking its place in the top six while Stanhope will want to protect third place on the ladder and possibly avoid the tougher of the two elimination final match-ups.
The Lions will be keen to get the four points after also losing when these teams clashed earlier in the season.
Tip: Stanhope.
GIRGARRE v UNDERA
Girgarre has made a rapid rise this year and it will be keen to finish as high as possible to take some momentum in the 2017 season.
The Kangaroos' sit four points clear of an Undera team which has won its past two matches.
After accounting for Longwood a fortnight ago, Undera leap-frogged above Ardmona after accounting for it last weekend.
The Lions are like the Roos' and they to will be keen to chalk up as many wins as possible to close out the season.
The team that can make the fewer mistakes and capitalise from their opportunities will take the four points.
Tip: Girgarre.
MERRIGUM v RUSHWORTH
Merrigum is not giving up hope it could figure in the finals in 2016, but to do so it must keep winning.
Last weekend, the Bulldogs ended the faint hopes of Murchison while keep its aspirations alive.
Today, the Bulldogs must play strong netball for the entire match to ensure it keeps the pressure up on fifth placed Violet Town and sixth placed Lancaster.
A loss to Rushworth will make it extremely difficult for Merrigum.
With so much more to play, Merrigum should be able to claim the win.
Tip: Merrigum.
OTHER
In the remaining matches of the round, Tallygaroopna should consolidate its place in the top six with victory against Ardmona while Murchison will be favourite to get the four points against Longwood.
Tips: Tallygaroopna and Murchison.
