Nagambie took the competition by storm last year, especially after losing their only game in the first half of the season.
As the season went on, the power club got stronger and stronger under first year coach Abby Misiti.
They were outstanding under pressure late in the season and they confront of the league's other powerful units in Lancaster.
Lancaster will be led by new coach Jodie Rennie and expect them to be one of the contenders for this year's title.
They welcome back 2014 league medallist Ellie Lothian who missed a large chunk of last year with a fractured elbow.
Nagambie has welcomed some experienced players into squad, including three-time league medallist Sharni Lloyd while some players come with experience having played at a higher level with Seymour and the Shepparton Swans.
Avenel was one of the big movers last year under the guidance of Kathryn Hard.
Unfortunately after losing one home and away match, the Swans were dumped from the finals in straight sets.
The squad was hit hard by injury late in the year and expect them to be keen to make amends under Hard.
They welcome some new faces while they lose some regulars with long term injuries.
Stanhope as always will be one of the top teams, but whether they can improve enough to challenge the likes of Nagambie, Tallygaroopna, Avenel and Lancaster remains to be seen.
Expect Kerrie Gray to continue blood some of the club's talented youngsters and with each senior game they will benefit and get better.
Merrigum will be looking at backing up last year's sixth place when they start their campaign against a Murchison team featuring many new faces.
Phil Bryant will be expecting his group to be hitting their straps in the second half of the season after they have had some time together to understand the game plan.
Violet Town and Ardmona will be two teams looking to build on solid seasons last year. They come up against two teams that will be looking to emulate the Cats and Towners' efforts of 2015.
Longwood and Rushworth will be looking to be competitive each time they take the court. Both teams endured tough seasons in 2015 and it's hoped they can enjoy a few more successes under the watch of new coaches.
My tips: Tallygaroopna, Violet Town, Merrigum, Avenel, Nagambie, Ardmona.
