Second Indigenous player nominated in 2009COLLINGWOOD'S Brad Dick is the NAB AFL Rising Star Nominee for Round 11.
Dick, who has returned this year from a full knee reconstruction, booted five goals against Melbourne at the MCG on Monday, helping Collingwood to a strong 66-point win.
The 20-year old has booted nine goals in his past three matches and is averaging 14 disposals, four tackles and two goals across his five games this season.
Dick (pictured, centre) made his AFL debut in 2007 playing six matches, before returning to the VFL. He suffered a season ending knee injury during the 2008 preseason.
Recruited from East Fremantle, Dick was Collingwood's third-round selection (pick 44 overall) at the 2006 NAB AFL Draft.
He is Collingwood's second NAB AFL Rising Star nominee for 2009 following Jaxson Barham in Round 4.
Following each round of the home and away season, a panel of judges will select a NAB AFL Rising Star nominee.
At the conclusion of the season, one nominee will be chosen as the 2009 NAB AFL Rising Star and receives a personal investment portfolio and a dedicated personal banker from the NAB.
