Just one more thing Jarrad wants from this season: a premiership
ABORIGINAL footballers have cleaned up at the Sunday Football League awards night in Perth at the weekend.
Gosnells Football Club's Jarrad Ninyette, whose team finished minor premiers in the seven-team Perth suburban league, was awarded the league's fairest and best, the Bowden Medal.
Ninyette's Hawks lost just two games this year.
The Hawks' gun forward Darrin Smith also won the league's goalkicking with 72 majors this season.
Gosnells are preparing for this weekend's grand final against Kenwick who they narrowly beat by three points in the final home-and-away round.
Ninyette, who snared 37 goals this year, also won the boundary umpire award, while Armadale’s Malcolm Yarran got the nod from the goal umpires.
Shaun Bennell romped home to win the Reynolds Medal as the SFL's reserves fairest and best while Maddington's Wesley Punch won the reserves leading goalkicker award.
In the voting for the SFL's Colts fairest and best, the Blackburn Medal, Douglas Dick of Armadale tied to win it with Alex Frisby of Gosnells.
