Rioli, Hill, Wonaeamirri invited to take their place at awards ceremony in Melbourne.
INDIGENOUS players Josh Hill, Cyril Rioli and Austin Wonaeamirri will attend the 2008 NAB AFL Rising Star function tomorrow night at Crown Palladium in Melbourne.
The three were nominated within six weeks of each other: Josh from the Western Bulldogs in Round 2, Cyril from Hawthorn in Round 6 and Austin from Melbourne in Round 7.
Cyril and Austin both made their AFL debuts in 2008, while Josh played a single game in 2007.
Each will attend the function with their parents.
The NAB AFL Rising Star is presented with the Ron Evans Medal and will receive a personal investment folio and a dedicated personal banker, courtesy of the National Australia Bank.
The NAB AFL Rising Star is the pinnacle of the NAB AFL Rising Stars Program, which supports grassroots players and football communities and helps young Australians fulfil their dream of playing in the AFL.
