A FEATURE-LENGTH documentary by Cordell Jigsaw production company following the lives of three Aboriginal young men in their quest to become AFL footballers is available to view on-line for a limited time.
The documentary, called Three Boys Dreaming, follows the lives over a four-year period of three aspiring footballers in three different States in the lead-up to the 2008 AFL national draft and beyond.
The one-and-a-half hour feature aired on ABC1 on Wednesday night. It is now available to watch for two weeks on the ABC's iView site, which streams ABC programs for a limited time after having been aired on its main channels.
It begins in 2005 when 48 of the best Indigenous players from across the country join an AFL-organised camp in Melbourne. Later, it follows youngsters Chris Yarran, from Western Australia, Daniel Jago from Tasmania and Daen Lomas from NSW chasing their AFL dreams.
The teenagers emerged from the AFL's innovative KickStart football program.
The documentary can viewed on the ABC's iView site from here: Three Boys Dreaming.
