State Basketball League action returns to the Bolton Park "Incinerator" this Saturday 20 June with the Blaze and Heat facing up against the Queanbeyan Yowies.

The Blaze start things off at 4:00pm in a game that is vital for both teams as they vie for a top 4 finish.  The Yowies snuck home by the barest of margins in their first round encounter, after a thriller that went to overtime.  With the Blaze just outside the top 4 and Queanbeyan, who boast several ABA level players in their squad barely ahead of them in 3rd spot, this should be a crackerjack game.

The Blaze have been strung together some good performances and will be looking to continue their offensive potency as they seek out a win.  Captain Ash Hayllar, Michelle Edmanson, Caren Hugo and Nicole McPherson have provided the side with plenty of points recently and with all players contributing, the Blaze will be hard to shut down.

The Heat will take on the ladder leading Yowies at 6:00pm.  After a convincing 39 point thrashing of Shoalhaven 2 weeks ago, the Heat will be out to show that this was not a flash in the pan.  The Heat are capable of matching any side in the competition and will need all players firing again on Saturday night as they seek back-to-back wins.

Dom Tye was unstoppable last game and he received great support from the big-man contingent of Robertson, Hodder and McKenzie.  The versatile Matt Bishop will play an important part and if Paul Prowse can continue his shooting form, the Heat will be right in this game.
