Re/Max Blaze Clean Up In State Awards
Despite a disappointing semi-final loss to eventual champions Central Coast Crusaders at the SBL Finals Weekend, the Blaze received some consolation that they gained 3 Awards in the end of year gongs announced during the finals.
Captain Ash Hayllar was named in the All Star 5, elevating her to elite status at this level, Caren Hugo was awarded Defensive Player of the Year and Allan Mullins was announced as SBL Women's Coach of the Year.
These richly deserved awards showed how much credibility and respect the team gained this year in the State League.
