Heat downed by undefeated Yowies
The Yowies came out firing at home and scored a massive 60 points in the 1st half to have Heat on the back foot from the outset. Mitch Rodgers for the home side had a game high 28 with an impressive 6 three-pointers.
The Heat fought the game out to the end and showed plenty of character in the 3rd quarter to reduce the lead to 12 but could not get the margin under 10. This allowed the Yowies some breathing space and when the Heat missed some early chances in the final quarter it was then a matter of how far the Yowies.
There were some good points for the Heat with rookie gaurd Adrian Duran showing some improvement, "Coffee Break" MVP Bobby Tye scoring 22 points and Ken "Busta" Robertson and Aidan Adams scoring 15 apiece.
This second loss means the Heat will need to turn things around quickly and they now face the long trek to Shoalhaven where they will hope to break their season duck against the Tigers.
