Heat Season Stutters

The Wagga "Re/Max" Heat has struggled over the last 2 weeks which has been the hallmark of their season to date.  Last week they were soundly beaten by MossVale (33 point loss) and on Saturday night they matched it in stages with the undefeated Queanbeyan Yowies before going down 87 - 72.  The back-to-back road trips proving too much for the Heat.

This leaves the Heat at 5 and 5 for the season heading into a central venue weekend that will see them play 3 games against metropolitan based teams.  These games will determine where the Heat finish the home and away series.  Although highly unlikely, the Heat can still mathematically finish 2nd in their pool with a more likely outcome of 4th.  Given that they have matched most teams this year this would be a disappointing result for the side.

There is still a possibility of the Heat contesting finals this season so stay tuned to find out how the rest of the season unfolds!
