About Deaf Basketball Australia
Deaf Basketball Australia (DBA) is the National Body for deaf, hard of hearing and hearing impaired basketball players throughout Australia. We act as an umbrella body for our affiliated State Deaf Basketball Associations.
Deaf Basketball Australia was formed 1964 as Australian Deaf Basketball Association with the original aim of the running of annual national deaf basketball competitions, known as the National Deaf Basketball Club Championships. Deaf Basketball Australia’s objectives also expanded to oversee the preparation of national teams to attend the Deaflympics, World Deaf Basketball Championships, Asia Pacific Deaf Games and the Asia Pacific Deaf Basketball Championships.
Deaf Basketball Australia is affiliated with Deaf International Basketball Federation, and Deaf Sports Australia, and are currently building a healthy partnership with Basketball Australia.
