Rebacks Men Unbeaten in Blitz

The Perth Redbacks' State Basketball League Men's Team won their last two games in the Pre-Season Blitz to go through the competition unbeaten.

They beat last year's grand finalists the East Perth Eagles 50 to 19 in their first game of the day.

This was followed by a 45 to 34 win against the Western Australian Metroplitan under 18s team.

The Redbacks' Men had a total of four wins for the weekend and amassed 199 whilst conceding a miserly 110, equating to 27 points per game.

The Redbacks' Women had an exciting 42-all draw against the Stirling Senators in their last game at the Blitz.

They ended the competition with one win, one draw and two losses and accumulated total of 178 for their four games while conceding 166.

The first qualifying round game of the State Basketball League starts on 16 March with the Redbacks' Men's team playing the Goldfields Giants in Kalgoorlie.

The first home-game of the State Basketball League season is on 23 March at Belmont Oasis against the Willetton Tigers, with the women's game starting at 6PM and the men's game at 8PM.
