SBL Results vs Eagles
The Women had a hard fought win tonight against the bottom placed Eagles, 69-59. Christine Boyd scored 35 points and had 15 rebounds in her 200th WSBL game. Jillian Shelly top scores for the Eagles with 19 points and 4 assists.
The Men could not get over the line against East Perth. Struggling to find momentum throughout the game, they fought hard in the last quater and got the margin back into single figures. They unfortunately went down 93-99. Luke Mackay had 26 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Michael Jones lead the Eagles with 30 points and 9 rebounds.
Both teams travel to Perry Lakes Stadium next weekend to take on the tough Hawks outfits. The Women had their last win against the top placed Hawks stripped for an inelligible player, so it should be a cracker!
The next home match is against the Stirling Senators on the 29th of June. The Women tip off at 6:30pm and the Men at 8:30pm. Stirling have Australian Opal Carly Wilson in their Womens team and two Imports in their Mens outfit, as well as former Wildcat/Razorback Carmie Olowoyo.
