Charles Nix Signs as WSBL Head Coach for 2018
After a thorough selection process, which was overseen by current Perth Lynx coach Andy Stewart and his team at Coaching Hoops, it was Nix who stood out from several other fine candidates to be chosen to lead the team into the future.
“The Perth Basketball Association is very excited to have Charles join our club and lead our Women’s Program” said Perth Basketball Association President Anthony Nixon. “Charles represents a great fit for the culture and values we hold and we welcome him to the Redbacks family. This is another significant appointment to our Coaching ranks as our Club continues to build on providing the best coaches to lead, develop and mentor our players, support staff and wider Club community.”
Nix, who recently took out the MSBL Coach of the Year Award, is looking forward to the future and a new challenge “Jacinta, the kids, and I are super excited to be joining the Redbacks. It was important that we all felt comfortable with the decision and we couldn't be happier with how we have been received and I can't wait to come in and work with the team. I see a lot of potential in this group with a great mix of experience and youth. I understand the challenges that are ahead and look forward to building a great system within a great culture.”
