REDBACKS U/11s at WILDCATS
The Perth Redbacks under 11s had a great experience in playing at half-time of the Perth Wildcats v Wollongong Hawks game on Friday night at the Perth Basketball Arena.
The Redbacks had two teams play, one being ‘Redbacks Red’ and the other ‘Redbacks White’.
The Redbacks Red team comprised:
Max Ragless
Oliver White
Eli Loveland
Ethan Loveland
Chase Ridley
Trent Moralee
Coaches Travis Denney and Nathan White
The Redbacks White team comprised the following players and coaches:
Jack Jansen
River Denney
Mitchell Nixon
Mathew Sisson
Ryan Duke-Yonge
Brandan Herbert
Coaches Dave Jansen and Connor Jansen
A crowd favourite occurrence was when Max Ragless was running backwards defending another player and tripped over someone who was behind him who was bending down doing up his shoelaces.
The feedback from parents in relation to the experience their children had has been extremely positive and enthusiastic.
Coach Denney posted the following on the Redbacks’ Facebook site:
“Big thanks to the people at the Redbacks who enabled some young boys to play in front of the Wildcats crowd at Perth Arena tonight. A special occasion that the boys will remember forever.
Keep up the great work, it is greatly appreciated...!!!”
The Perth Redbacks thanks all involved in setting up this game including Western Australian Basketball League Director Mark Hughes, the Jansen family (Dave, Gaby and Connor) and everyone else involved in making this a great success.
