WABL Playoffs Week 3
The Daimler Trucks Redbacks under 13s and D-League men’s Western Australian Basketball League teams continue into the preliminary final round of the playoffs at the Western Australia Basketball Centre this Sunday.
The action gets away at 10.45AM on court six when the Redbacks’ under 13s men play the Stirling Senators.
They got there after an action packed 65 to 39 win against Mandurah Magic.
The D-League men made the preliminary final after beating the Willetton Tigers 85 to 69.
They will be up against the Wanneroo Wolves at 2.15PM on court 5.
In other results last week the under 14s men’s team won their semi-final game against the Cockburn Cougars 61 to 48.
However, they were unable to back this win up in their preliminary final game played against the Willetton Tigers later that day, which they lost in a tough encounter 35 to 47.
The under 13s women’s team lost their semi-final game against the tough Rockingham Flames combination 30 to 56.
The under 14s women’s team lost to the Rockingham Flames 31 to 46.
The D-League women’s team lost their semi-final game against the Rockingham Flames 51 to 57 in a tight encounter that was still up for grabs with 30 seconds to go.
All Redbacks’ fans are again called on to come down to the Western Australia Basketball Centre on Sunday to support the under 13s and D-League men in their quest to win their preliminary final games and progress to the grand final.
