WABL Finals Week One - Wear Red

All Redbacks’ fans are called upon to come down to the WA Basketball Centre and the Willetton Basketball Stadium to support our teams in the first week of the Western Australian Basketball League playoff games this Sunday.

We want our fans to wear their red gear so when our teams, and their opposition, look up they will be confronted with a 'sea of red' watching over them.

Our fans also need to be loud in supporting ther teams in their finals' quests.

The campaign opens when the Daimler Trucks under 13 men’s team meet the Wanneroo Wolves in their elimination final on court 7 of the WA Basketball Centre at 8.30AM. A win will see them progress to the semi-final round, while a loss will see them out of the finals race.

The under 13 women’s team then meets the Kalamunda Eastern Suns in their 'sudden-death' elimination final on court 7 at the WA Basketball Centre at 10.00AM.

The under 14 women’s team meets the Perry Lakes Hawks in a qualifying final on court 1 at 11.30AM at the WA Basketball Centre. A win will see them progress straight through to the Preliminary Final round, while a loss will see them play in the semi-final round.

The unbeaten under 14 men’s team meets the second-placed Wanneroo Wolves in what will be a tough qualifying final encounter on court five at the WA Basketball Centre at 11.30AM.  A win will also see them progress directly to the Preliminary Finals, while a loss will mean they play in the sudden death semi-final round.

The D-League men’s team plays the Perry Lakes Hawks at high-noon at the Willetton Basketball Stadium in their sudden death elimination final.

The D-League women’s team also meets the Perry Lakes Hawks in a sudden death elimination final at the Willetton Basketball Stadium at the amended time of 1.45PM.

We wish all teams the best in their respective finals campaigns.
