Free SBL Entry for WABL Players

The Banks of Queensland Redbacks will be continuing the free entry to State Basketball League home-games for Western Australian Basketball League players for the remainder of the season.

To gain free entry WABL players simply have to wear their warm-up tops and be accompanied by a paying adult.

The next SBL fixture is this Friday at the Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre against the Cockburn Cougars with the women’s game starting at 6.30PM and the men’s game at 8.30PM

The men’s SBL team will be looking to consolidate its recent and rapid rise up the ladder to fourth place with another big win.

Watch out for high-flying action display from Bennie Lewis, Justin Brown, Michael Vigor and Dennis Tawhiti where are likely to see more dunks in one game than you might see with some teams in the National Basketball League in an entire season.

And there is also the strong defence, forward offensive pressure and strong shooting/scoring that you will see from guards Joel Wagner, Jarrad Prior and Adam Johnston.

This is also a vital game for the women’s SBL team, which is on the cusp of a playoff spot and vitally needs a win.

It will be an opportunity for fans to catch Rachel Lisch in her final game before she leaves for Peurto Rico, along with the celebration of Kerise Delcoure’s fine achievement in reaching her 200th SBL game.

All Redbacks’ fans are encouraged to come down en masse and loudly support our SBL teams in the approach to the playoffs.
