Redbacks' Men Beat Giants
The Perth Redbacks' Men's team had a strong win over the Goldfields Giants in their second round game of the State Basketball League Pre-Season Blitz.
In what was a physical encounter, the players settled down well after an altercation early in the game to compehensively win 41 to 25.
This follows on from their round one 63 to 32 win agaqinst Mandurah Magic.
The Redbacks' women were unable to continue their winning form from the previous night against the Rockingham Flames and had a narrow 33 to 37 loss against Cockburn Cougars .
They also lost 37 to 44 in their second-game of the day against 2012 tough Bunbury Slammers combination, who won the State Basketball League title in 2012.
The action continues on Sunday at the WA Basketball Centre with the Perth Redbacks' men's team playing last year's grand finalists the East Perth Eagles at 11.30AM and the Under 18s WA Metropolitan Team at 2.30PM.
The Redbacks' women's team goes up against the Stirling Senators at 5.30PM.
