Flying Start for Young Guns

Three future stars of the Redbacks Basketball family have been selected to represent WA at the National Basketball Championships to be held in Victoria this coming August.

Forwards Jordan Herbert and Kyle Bowen along with Point Guard Luke Simonette - all participants in the Redbacks W.A.B.L. program supported by Daimler Trucks Perth - were recognised for their talent and work ethic with selection into the state side.

Recently identified by the Perth Basketball Association for inclusion in our Talent Identification Program the talented trio are already known throughout the club for their incredible attitude and obvious enjoyment of the sport.

The PBA would like to congratulate the boys and their families as well as their previous and current WABL Coaches, Mike Romero and Jarrad Prior.

If you would like to see Redbacks junior basketball action for yourself, head on down to the Leisurelife Recreation Centre in East Victoria Park this Sunday.  Teams from U12 through to U20 and our Men's Development League teams will take on the Kalamunda Eastern Suns.
