WABL Season Launch a Big Success
The 2012 WABL season was launched in grand fashion on Saturday Night as the Perth Redbacks' junior players turned out en masse to unveil the brand new 2012 playing strip.
With the majority of the Association's 180 reprasentative players in attendance with dedicated parents in tow, the night was a great opportunity for the club to acknowledge some of our invaluable sponsors.
The launch was part of a club-wide rebranding effort which has included new logos and merchandise over the previous months and was made possible largely through the sponsorship of HepatitisWA. The rebranding gives their organisation the chance to educate the basketball community about the importance in sport of the blood-rule, and to work hand in hand with Redbacks Development Officers to raise awareness of blood-borne viruses in the community at large. Redbacks teams in 2012 will carry playthebloodrule.com branding as a result of this sponsorship.

The night also signalled the unveiling of the SBL playing strips, followed by the Redback Men's wire to wire victory over the Geraldton Buccaneers, a win which helped consolidate a top two ladder position for the side.
Redback big men Michael Vigor and Adrian Majstrovich were in spectacular for posting 27 and 32 points respectively, to go along with 15 and 21 rebounds.
