At the end of the third round both teams are on four wins and one loss, with the men’s team being in second place in the 14-team competition and the women’s team in fourth place in the 12-team competition.

This strong start has seen many of their players in a prominent position in the individual statistical performance categories to date.

Wagner has previously been a development player in the National Basketball League with the Perth Wildcats, including being a part of their 2010 Championship, as well as playing for the Sydney Kings in 2010/11.

This is Bender’s first season with the Redbacks after having played a season in Belgium and previously played for Westmont College in the United States.

Current Perth Wildcats development player and Redbacks’ centre Michael Vigor is in fifth place in the blocked shots category with an average of 2.4 per game.
