Young Redbacks Get First Taste of International Basketball

Recently, some of the Redbacks brightest junior prospects got their first taste of International basketball as they played against a travelling team from Shanghai.

Playing at the Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre in front of a curious audience, the Redbacks juniors went down to the older and more experienced team from Shanghai, but not before displaying the class and competitiveness the club prides itself on.

The game continues a recent trend of the Redbacks, as the club seeks out opportunities to broaden its experience and the exposure of our players.  The Shanghai game followed on the heels of the recently held exhibition match between the Redbacks Men and the Singapore National team.

The Perth Basketball Association would like to extend its gratitude to Andrew Vlahov and Ryan Gardiner of RV Sports for making the event possible.

More photographs of the game can be viewed in the photo gallery here.
