Perseverance Pays off for Under 15 Girls

After a terrific two weeks for Redbacks teams at the BWA State Championshipss, the Under 15 Girls tonight polished off a wonderful two days of competition by fighting their way through to the Grand Final.

Following on from a difficult W.A.B.L. season the girls, under the tutelage of coach Jon Sampson, brought their always positive and energising attitude to the State Basketball Centre.  Continually showing heart and agressiveness at the defensive end of the floor, the Redback Girls proved the value of perseverance and a positive long term attitude.

Over the course of the 2011 W.A.B.L. season, it was that perseverance that always meant the girls returned each week with a positive attitude.  A commitment by the coaching staff to the continued positive development of the girls is proof that "If we are facing in the right direction, all we have to do is keep on walking."

Congratulations to the girls, who narrowly missed out on a grand fnal victory to bring home the runner-up pennant for the club.
