Wagner makes impact with Kings

Perth Redbacks’ State Basketball League point-guard Joel Wagner is now seen by the Sydney Kings National Basketball League side as an important part of their playing roster.

In his four-games so far Joel has averaged of 21 minutes, three points per game at an overall field goal percentage 36 and a three-point field goal percentage of 40, three rebounds, two assists and one steal per game.

Joel also started in just his second NBL game when the Kings played Woollongong.

Joel’s importance in the side is reflected by the fact that he has now been contracted by the Kings to play for the rest of this season.

Redbacks’ fans are encouraged to support Joel when he returns to Perth on 19 December to play for the Kings against the Perth Wildcats.

Hopefully he will also get the time to celebrate his 23rd birthday that day.

Tip-off is at 4PM at the Challenge Stadium and tickets are still available through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com.au).
